Qatar International Racetrack

Qatar has been added to the 2004 World Motorcycling Grand Prix calendar bringing the number of races to 16.

Round 13 of the MotoGP will be held in Qatar, Oct.2nd.2004. & Superbike World Championship Feb.20th.2005.

Track info:

  • Length of track: 5.4 Km.
  • Width od track: 12 m.
  • Width of track in straight: 14 m.
  • Length of straightway: 1.068 Km.
  • Number of turns: 16 turns.

Qatar International Racetrack will also host:

ROTAX MAX Grand Finals in EGYPT.

Sean Murphy (right)- Sean continues to demonstrate that he is the #1 ROTAX MAX Driver in the Middle East Region. Having won all previous National RMC Titles in Year 2001 and 2002 this was Sean's third appearance at the ROTAX MAX Challenge Grand Final's (RMCGF).

ROTAX MAX Challenge Grand Final results:

2001 RMCGF (Malaysia) = Failed to qualify in Pre-Final/Final due to aggressive driving by others and a major accident in the qualifiers which damaged Sean's Kart beyond repair.

2002 RMCGF (South Africa) = Qualified for the Pre-Final/Final and finished overall 20th of 68 ROTAX MAX Challenge Drivers in the World.

2003 RMCGF (Egypt) = Qualified for the Pre-Final/Final with ease and finished overall 10th of 68 ROTAX MAX Challenge Drivers in the World. Ranked 3rd in +35 Category with a podium appearance & Ranked 10th overall.

Hamad Al-Medaweb (down)- continues to improve himself on the track. His attention to disciplined practice and physical training will only help improve his performances as he matures into a top Middle East Region ROTAX MAX Driver.This was Hamad's second appearance at the ROTAX MAX Challenge Grand Final's.

ROTAX MAX Challenge Grand Final results:

2002 RMCGF (South Africa) = Failed to qualify for the Pre-Final/Final due to several accidents during the qualifiers.

2003 RMCGF (Egypt) = Failed to qualify for the Pre-Final/Final due to several accidents and kart equipment breakages during the qualifiers.
